1. Booking and Cancellation Policy

1.1. Booking Confirmation: When you book a tour package with Darjeeling Trails, your reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the applicable payment and issuance of a booking confirmation email.

1.2. Cancellation by Customer: If you need to cancel your tour package for any reason, you must notify us in writing (via email or WhatsApp). Cancellation charges will apply based on the following schedule:

– More than 60 days before the departure date: 10% of the total package cost will be retained as a cancellation fee.
– 31 to 60 days before the departure date: 30% of the total package cost will be retained as a cancellation fee.
– 15 to 30 days before the departure date: 50% of the total package cost will be retained as a cancellation fee.
– Less than 15 days before the departure date: No refund will be provided.

1.3. No-Show: If you fail to join the tour on the specified departure date and time without prior notice, no refunds will be provided.

2. Refund Process

2.1. Refund Eligibility: Refunds will only be issued for the amount after deducting the applicable cancellation fees.

2.2. Refund Timeline: We will initiate the refund process within 15 business days of receiving your written cancellation request. The time it takes for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.

3. Tour Cancellation by Darjeeling Trails

3.1. In the rare event that Darjeeling Trails needs to cancel a tour package due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.

4. Travel Insurance

4.1. We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unforeseen circumstances that may necessitate cancellation.

5. Modifications and Rebooking

5.1. Changes to your tour package, including date changes or modifications to the itinerary, may be accommodated subject to availability and additional charges. Please contact our customer support team for assistance.
